Job summary

Chewy is seeking an Automated Maintenance Technician II at our Reno, NV Fulfillment Center to support a fast-paced facility. You will maintain and troubleshoot material handling equipment, adjust and calibrate systems, and manage work orders while following strict safety procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical systems, PLC basics, and a strong focus on reliability and teamwork in a large e-commerce fulfillment environment.

Qualifications

• PC proficiency and ability to use handheld devices.
• Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.
• Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, Industrial Controls and Electronics, troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions.
• Basic blueprint and schematic reading and metal fabrication and welding.
• Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of MHE on site (conveyor systems, sortation, printers, etc.).
• Adjust scanners, cameras, scales, and printer applicators.
• Reset, repair, or replace belts, chains, cables, guides, bearings and rollers.
• Use job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Assist with basic electronics/PLC troubleshooting.
• Operate devices to build and close Work Orders with data.
• Develop positive working relationships across the organization.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; enforce Lock Out/Tag Out and Arc Flash protocols.
