Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is seeking a Service Technician in Columbia, MD to diagnose, repair, and upgrade automated pedestrian doors. You will service sliding, swinging, and rotating doors, ensuring reliability and customer satisfaction.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, and work with frames, glazing, and hardware while adhering to safety standards and AAADM guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to repair electro-mechanical devices.
• Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120V) wiring; access control experience is a plus.
• Experience with glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames and hardware is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repairs, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer sites.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues and relay logic; work with framing, glazing, and hardware.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors; provide excellent service.
• Participate in training and AAADM certification; operate power tools and handle physically demanding tasks.
