Job summary

Midas Auto Experts in New Jersey is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to direct all service department activities, drive tire sales, repairs, and maintenance, and lead a team toward exceptional customer care and results.

You will supervise technicians, ensure safety, manage pricing discussions, and promote shop services and financing options while upholding quality and company values. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years store or service manager experience.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Excellent customer service disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Leadership ability.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the shop.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment.
• Develop personal growth opportunities for staff.
• Establish strategic goals from reports and data.
• Lead by example and train the team.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and consult customers.
• Oversee vehicle inspections and prepare comprehensive repair orders.
• Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote service specials/financing.
• Monitor quality of vehicles signed out and supervise up to 10 employees.
• Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering/receipts.
• Keep the shop clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
