Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a Customer Care Associate to engage customers at the service desk, sales floor, and register. You’ll handle inquiries, schedule service, and upsell parts to help cars run at peak efficiency, while ensuring accurate transactions and a positive shopping experience.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and at least one year in automotive service or related sales, with flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• One year of related experience in the automotive service environment.
• One year of sales experience preferred.
• Must have basic math skills for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers by phone and in-store, engage customers and upsell parts and services.
• Schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, and communicate processes and timelines.
• Handle transactions, maintain register accuracy, and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist in shop organization, workflow, and safety procedures under management direction.
• Express automotive services: tire mounting, balancing, rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, and inspections.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment per policies.
• Communicate effectively with associates, management, and customers; relay information clearly.
