Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is seeking a Service Manager to lead a team of automotive technicians in Kansas City. You will assign work, oversee hiring/training, and ensure high customer satisfaction while driving service revenue.

Strong people skills and 4+ years of auto service experience are essential. You will coordinate between technicians and customers, manage paperwork and finances, and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of auto service technical experience.
• 1 year of service manager or service writer experience.
• Problem solving - handling customer complaints.
• Aptitude to manage inventory, scheduling, equipment maintenance, etc.
• Capacity to lead and coach others.
• Teammate and customer/communication skills.
• Ability to recruit and select technicians according to store requirements.
• Willingness to continue education and remain current in automotive repair issues.
• Must have valid automotive driver's license to test drive customers' vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assign and schedule work duties to auto service staff according to individual skill level.
• Serve all automotive service needs of customers.
• Oversee the hiring and training of an effective auto service team.
• Ensure high teammate retention.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention by effectively managing all aspects of customer interactions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and feedback.
• Develop understanding of business operations in the automotive service environment.
• Drive sales through proactive customer interactions and vehicle inspections.
• Provide insights to the front of the shop to optimize product and service sales.
