Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily store operations, coach technicians and service advisors, and ensure fast, quality automotive service. The role balances hands-on work in the service bay, front counter, and back office, serving as a key step toward store leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash handling; comfortable using POS and inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations, stepping in when the manager is absent.
• Coach and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to cover peak hours and busy seasons.
• Help onboard and train new team members on service procedures, POS, and customer service standards.
• Greet customers, explain services, and promote additional offerings based on manufacturer guidelines.
• Support store and shop operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing orders as directed by the Store Manager.
• Ensure the shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and meet brand standards.
• Support safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and team safety.
