Job summary

Kia Of Murfreesboro is seeking experienced service writers to join our busy service department. You will act as the essential liaison between customers and technicians, developing accurate estimates and handling repair orders with precision.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a structured path for career advancement. This full-time role includes a 5-day work week with Saturdays required and Sundays off, located in Murfreesboro, TN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 18 years of age to be able to drive for the company.
• Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred.
• CDK experience is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Basic mechanical understanding of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensure customer needs are understood by the technician and repairs are understood by the customer.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explain provisions and exclusions.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer payments, including deductibles.
• Prepare repair order by describing symptoms and causes; obtain approvals and enter RO into service system.
• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.
• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.
• Confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns.
