Job summary

North County Cadillac GMC in Escondido, CA is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy service department. The role involves greeting customers, diagnosing concerns with your team, and advising on vehicle care to maintain manufacturer standards.

Responsibilities include estimating labor and parts, obtaining approvals, updating customers on progress, and securing payment. Automotive dealership experience is preferred; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use basic accounting and math.
• Ability to use PC and dealership software.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly, professionally, and warmly.
• Communicate with customers to identify problems or concerns.
• Collect customer and vehicle data using dealership systems.
• Advise on vehicle care and manufacturer recommendations.
• Provide labor and parts estimates and obtain approvals.
• Explain additional work and timescales to customers.
• Monitor repair progress and update customers as needed.
• Ensure payment is completed before vehicle leaves.
• Maintain CSI above group average.
• Conduct transactions legally and ethically.
