Job summary

Pick Your Part in Clayton, NC is seeking a customer-focused retail associate to deliver excellent walk-in service and drive impulse sales at the front counter. You will identify automotive parts using inventory software, process cash and credit transactions, and coordinate with the yard to retrieve parts for customers.

The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Strong customer service background and friendly demeanor.
Effective communication, both verbal and written.
High School diploma or GED preferred; college coursework helpful.
Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
Two to three years of prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

In-Person Sales: provide immediate, high-quality service to walk-in customers.
Parts Identification: use inventory software to find exact vehicle parts on-site.
Sales: manage front counter, process cash and card transactions.
Yard Coordination: work with parts pullers to retrieve parts for customers.
Merchandising & Displays: set up displays to drive impulse sales.
Core & Returns Management: inspect returns and process credits or warranties.
Assumes other duties as assigned.
