Qualifications

• 2+ years of collections experience.
• Auto-finance, consumer-lending, or related collections experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume account queue with accuracy and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage auto-loan accounts through delinquency, from one day past due to repossession referrals.
• Make high-volume inbound and outbound calls to understand delinquencies and offer solutions.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and monitor promises to pay.
• Document customer contacts, changes, complaints, and repossession recommendations.
• Use skip-tracing methods to locate customers and update contact information.
• Answer questions and resolve routine concerns, escalating sensitive matters when needed.
• Identify accounts for repossession consideration and inform Branch Manager.
• Provide necessary information to the Remarketing Department for repossessions.
• Conduct local visits when contact fails and repossession is looming.
• Complete welcome calls for new auto-loan customers and review payment expectations.
• Provide information to insurance claim teams and support other branch operations as needed.
• Deliver courteous, professional service to customers, dealers, and internal partners.
