Job summary

Safelite is seeking a Technician Trainee who will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician. Upon completing the program, you’ll earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and gain essential skills for unsupervised glass repair, replacement and recalibrations.

You’ll be paid to learn through hands-on and classroom training, with benefits including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to read, write and interpret English language and technical directions.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Safely operate company vehicles and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to policies.
