Job summary

Safelite in New York is hiring for a Technician Trainee. You will be trained through hands-on and classroom instruction to become proficient in auto glass installation, repair, and recalibrations. Upon completion, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification and pursue a path from Technician to Senior Technician.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional Safelite services and products.
• Study and pass testing to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Operate company vehicles and tools safely.

Skills

Lifting up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand for long periods

Use of hand and power tools

Valid driver's license

English reading/writing

Education

High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent
