Job summary

Safelite is seeking a Technician Trainee in New York to be trained to become a certified auto glass technician. You will learn hands-on and in-classroom techniques, work toward Safelite SafeTech certification, and perform glass repair, replacement and recalibrations under supervision.

Paid training, competitive pay starting at $25.50/hour, rising to $30.25/hour after certification, and a benefits package including 401(k) with company matching, medical plans, PTO and tuition reimbursement are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid state driver's license required to operate company vehicle.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Observe and assist in installing and repairing auto glass.
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems and perform diagnostic testing.
• Provide additional services and products to customers.
• Study and pass tests to become Safelite-certified Technician.
• Operate company vehicles and tools safely and in accordance with policies.
• Follow all safety, quality and company policies.
