Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, seeks an Estimator II to produce timely and precise estimates for reconditioning on consigned vehicles for wholesale and retail clients. You will assess damage, document repairs, and obtain client approvals using Manheim's tools.

You will coordinate with vendors, parts suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, availability, and sourcing, while maintaining thorough records and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED plus 3 years related experience; or degree/cert +1 year; or 5 years related field experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Vision abilities for close/distance/color and depth perception.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimation services for assigned locations focusing on cosmetic (body) repairs and mechanical repairs.
• Deliver accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning work with proper documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendor, and operations teams to initiate approved work.
• Work with vendors and procurement to verify pricing and parts availability.
• Track repair progress and communicate updates with clients and internal teams.
• Maintain records of estimates, approvals, and completed work per policies.
• Participate in safety initiatives and process improvements.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and model safe behaviors.

At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we're hiring an Estimator II. Join a dynamic team where accuracy and efficiency drive client satisfaction. As an Estimator, you'll be responsible for producing timely and precise estimates for reconditioning services on consigned vehicles for both wholesale and retail clients. You'll assess vehicle damage, document recommended repairs, and collaborate with clients for approval. Estimates will be created using Manheim's proprietary tools to ensure consistency and quality.

What You'll Do:

• Provide estimation services for assigned auction locations, focusing on cosmetic (body) repairs and mechanical repairs to support client needs.
• Deliver accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning work, ensuring proper documentation for both cosmetic and mechanical services.
• Collaborate with maintenance, reconditioning, vendor, and operations teams to initiate approved work and maintain smooth repair flow.
• Work closely with vendors, parts suppliers, and procurement/purchasing staff to verify accurate pricing, availability, and sourcing of required parts and materials.
• Track repair progress, monitor completion timelines, and communicate updates with clients, transportation teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of repair estimates, approvals, and completed work in compliance with company policies.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all safety guidelines and modeling safe behaviors.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives, team huddles, and process improvement activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

Minimum:

• A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field; or any degree/certification beyond high school and 1 year of experience; or 5 years of experience in a related field.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs (e.g. tools, equipment)

USD 21.83 - 32.79 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $21.83 - $32.79/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

• Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
• Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
