Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician to perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on customer vehicles. The role emphasizes learning VIP processes, safe operation, and effective communication with customers and teammates.

The technician will work within a 40-hour week, maintaining productivity and following certification paths including ASE classifications. The position requires compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards and includes responsibilities for

Qualifications

Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journals and procedures.
Explain vehicle information clearly to customers; respond to questions.
Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
Understand and apply instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Capable of performing automotive services listed in job duties.

Responsibilities

Adhere to safety policies; follow training; lock out unsafe equipment.
Provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems as per ASE scope.
Ensure a Service Work Order is initiated and displayed on the vehicle.
Complete MPI and participate in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
Return all parts appropriately; manage cores, batteries, and tires.
Maintain productivity targets; uphold VIP quality standards.
Complete required training and certification for the position.
Maintain shop cleanliness and safety throughout the day.
