First Chicago Insurance Company is seeking a Property Damage Supervisor to oversee the Property Damage Coverage Unit, ensuring compliant claims handling, strong policy understanding, and quality file management. The role focuses on staff development, production monitoring, and adherence to state guidelines.

The supervisor will lead adjusters, review files, set authority levels, and coordinate with departments to improve service quality while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years auto liability property damage claims handling experience.
• Prior supervisory experience over auto adjusters preferred.
• Strong technical and administrative background in auto claims handling.
• Ability to work independently on technical and administrative matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and provide direction to the unit adjusters.
• Conduct file and diary reviews to ensure documentation and fair settlement practices.
• Set authority level on claim files based on coverage, investigations, and approve settlements.
• Review reports and support procedures to improve claim settlement process and customer service.
• Oversee procedures for effectiveness and compliance.
• Identify training needs and participate in training programs.
• Determine systems issues and suggest enhancements.
• Manage administrative functions: new losses, performance objectives, appraisals, payment reviews, unit meetings, and inquiries.
