Gerber Collision & Glass in Illinois is offering a 30-day trainee program toward an 18-month Technician Development Program. You’ll gain hands-on experience with basic auto body repairs, dent removal, sanding, and painting under experienced technicians.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and learning to inspect vehicle damage to craft repair plans. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preference for trades, prior minor experience, and I-CAR Gold Class if available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience is preferred.
• I-CAR Gold Class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic auto body repairs under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and plan repairs.
• Collaborate with team to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
