Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous assessment and repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and align chassis, replacing parts and glass as needed, while upholding speed, quality and customer excellence. Experience with auto body methods and tools is essential, and you will work with a team to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year auto body apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass, interior parts as required.
• Weld and fit parts, and repaint to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
