Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass seeks an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences by accurately assessing and repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, collaborating with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise.

The role emphasizes speed, quality, and customer excellence, with an emphasis on safety, proper tool use, and precise finishes across body, glass, and interior components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of use of tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair sections of a vehicle using appropriate tools and parts.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles per factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
