Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous repair work and quality restoration to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, align chassis, replace damaged parts, and apply factory-standard paints while meeting KPIs and upholding the brand promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. Candidate must have a high school diploma and technical training or apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work that is necessary and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammers out dents, dimples, and minor body damage; applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; replaces glass as needed.
• Repairs interior parts as needed.
• Welds and fits parts; prepares and repaints vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
