Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3-year auto body apprenticeship or technical school, plus strong tool skills and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. This role emphasizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Able to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
• Welds and attaches or fits parts; prepares and repaints vehicles.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect final repairs.
