Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform meticulous repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You will work with the team to plan repairs, prepare cost estimates, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of repair methods and the tools used in auto body work.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass/windshields.
• Weld and fit parts into place and repaint vehicles to factory specifications or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor-time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
