Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform precise repair work on damaged vehicles, including disassembly, repair, reassembly, and paint. You will assess damage, plan repairs, and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Work collaboratively in a busy shop, using cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, and welding gear to meet safety standards and production KPIs. The role offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship is preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass, and repaint as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, ensure work orders meet time guidelines.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety.
