Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experience through meticulous vehicle repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring alignment with our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

You must read job orders, collaborate with shop peers, and expertly use body repair tools. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and attention to detail across all repair stages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles to restore pre-accident condition.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replaces damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replaces or repairs glass, windshields, and interior parts as needed.
• Welds and fits parts, applies paint to factory specs or equivalent.
• Completes work within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles post-repair.
