Gerber Collision & Glass in Pittsburgh is seeking an Auto Body Technician to assess, repair, and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure workmanship meets our speed, quality, and customer-excellence standards.

Work with a collaborative team, read job orders, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutters, welders, and jacks to repair bodies and replace parts. A high school diploma or technical training is required.

Qualifikationen

• Requires ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of repair methods for vehicle bodies and structural components.
• Familiarity with tools used in auto body repair such as cutting guns, welders, and grinders.

Aufgaben

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers.
• Uses cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and attaches parts; preps and repaints vehicles to spec.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects repaired vehicles for quality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
