Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional, high-quality repairs and customer service. The role focuses on meticulous assessment, repair, and restoration of vehicles to pre-accident condition, aligning with our WOW standards and brand ambassador expectations.

You will work with a team to plan repairs, use professional tools, and ensure repairs meet labor/time guidelines while maintaining safety and quality across all vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting tools, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents, dimples and minor body damage; apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Weld and attach/fit parts and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
