Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience by thoroughly repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while upholding the brand's commitment to speed and quality.

You will work with a team to meet KPIs, demonstrate brand ambassador qualities, and strive for excellence across all touchpoints in collision and glass services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair body sections.
• Hammer dents, apply fillers to repair damage.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts; repaint with factory-specified finish.
• Weld and fit parts; complete work within labor time guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
