Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Georgia is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble frames and bodies, replace parts, weld, paint, and work with teammates to meet KPIs and uphold the Brand Ambassador promise.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a tech program or apprenticeship, ability to read job orders, and able to lift up to 30

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and the tools used in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using various tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with parts and repair glass/windshields as required.
• Weld and fit parts, prep and repaint vehicles to factory specs or approved equivalents.
• Aim to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished vehicles.
