Qualifications

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical school program or a 3-year auto body repair apprenticeship.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and proper use of tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute repair work, prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using tools like cutting guns and plasma cutters.
• Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and mount parts, apply paint per factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
