Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an experienced auto body technician to join our repair team. You will plan repairs, prepare customer estimates, and work with cutting tools and equipment to restore vehicles to factory specs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a technical program or a 3‑year apprenticeship. You will read job orders, coordinate with teammates, repair dents, realign chassis, replace parts, weld and repaint as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical schooling or a 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair vehicle bodies using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, then repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
