Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with meticulous repair work. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while aligning with team KPIs and acting as a brand ambassador for The Boyd Group.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair. You will work in a busy shop handling diverse repair tasks daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair is required or preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of the WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, then prepare and repaint vehicles.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
