Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise vehicle repair. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, ensuring speed, quality, and customer excellence in collaboration with the team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair. Proficiency with common repair tools and a strong teamwork ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers; uses tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins to repair dents.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces them with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields.
• Welds and attaches parts; preps and repaint vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines; inspect vehicles after repair.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
