Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship as auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Able to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of how to repair vehicle bodies.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles; realign chassis/frames.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
