Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide exceptional customer experiences by meticulously repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure quality while upholding speed and service standards in a collaborative shop environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers using various tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers).
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields as needed.
• Welds and fits parts; prepares and repaints vehicles to factory specifications.
• Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects repairs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
