Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to provide meticulous vehicle repairs and exceptional customer service. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence across the repair process.

You will work with a team to achieve KPIs and act as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group, adhering to the WOW plan and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship required.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts as needed.
• Weld and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or equivalent.
• Ensure work is completed within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
