Gerber Collision & Glass in Indiana is seeking an Auto Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision and care. You will plan repairs, prepare estimates, and work with a team to deliver high-quality results.

You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, weld, and repaint parts while ensuring safety and adherence to job orders and time guidelines. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and strong dexterity in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles with precision.
• Use tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, pliers) to fix body damage.
• Realign chassis and replace damaged sections or components.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Ensure work orders meet labor time guidelines and inspect completed work.
