Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Indiana is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous assessment and quality repair of every vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition.

You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, realign frames, replace parts and glass, and work with the team to meet KPIs. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completed technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use tools to repair vehicles.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace or repair damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to spec.
