Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Madison, WI seeks an Auto Body Technician for the evening shift to provide meticulous vehicle repairs and high-quality customer experiences. You will assess, disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, align frames, replace parts, and repaint as required to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles with attention to quality and speed.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass or interior parts as needed.
• Weld or attach parts and repaint to factory specs or equivalent.
