Gerber Collision & Glass in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver an exceptional customer experience through meticulous assessment and high‑quality repairs, restoring vehicles to pre‑accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles while aligning with team KPIs and brand standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and, optionally, completion of technical school or a 3‑year apprenticeship in auto body repair, with opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and proper tool use.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins as needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect repairs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
