Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Greer, SC is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through precise assessments and high-quality repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, ensuring speed, quality and customer excellence across the repair process.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, realigning frames, replacing parts, welding, painting, and inspecting finished work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and use required tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace or repair parts, glass, and interiors as needed.
• Weld and fit parts, prep and repaint to specs; meet labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
