Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, a leader in collision repair, seeks an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by meticulously assessing and repairing vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.

The role involves disassembly, repair, reassembly, realignment of chassis, welding and painting, all while upholding the WOW plan and company KPIs in a busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers; uses cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed; realigns chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields as required.
• Welds/attaches parts, paints vehicles with factory-specified or equivalent finishes; completes work orders within labor guidelines and inspects vehicles after repair.
