Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Florida is offering a hands-on trainee role designed to qualify for our 18-month Technician Development Program. This 30-day trial lets you work alongside experienced technicians and gain insight into auto body repair.

You will learn dent removal, sanding and painting basics, tool handling, safety protocols, and teamwork to complete projects on time and to quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with on-the-job experience welcome; I-CAR Gold

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods in the repair of a vehicle.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing basic auto body repairs under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and plan repairs.
• Collaborate with team to complete repair projects on time and to quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
