Gerber Collision & Glass in Hammond, LA is offering a 30-day trainee program to gain hands-on experience in auto body repair alongside experienced technicians. You will assist with dent removal, sanding and painting while learning to use and maintain tools, participate in vehicle inspections, and collaborate with the team to meet quality standards.

The role is ideal for individuals 18+, with on-the-job learning and clear pathways to the 18-month Technician Development Program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred.
• Some on-the-job experience is preferred.
• I-CAR Gold Class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic auto body repairs: dent removal, sanding, painting under supervision.
• Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Participate in vehicle inspections and repair planning.
• Collaborate with team to complete repairs within timelines and quality standards.
