Job summary

Remedy Education are seeking an ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN/Secondary School in Greenwich. The role focuses on supporting pupils with autism and a range of additional needs, helping them access learning and daily routines.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, support communication and emotional regulation, and assist teachers with differentiated tasks. The position offers a full-time timetable with an ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Confident supporting pupils with communication and learning needs.
• Good behaviour management and communication skills.
• Experience in school, care, youth work, mentoring or childcare is desirable.
• An Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply for one.

The school are looking for a calm, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant who can support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and daily school routines.

Pay: £95-£115 per day
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Confidence supporting pupils with communication and learning needs
• Good behaviour management and communication skills
• Experience in a school, care, youth work, mentoring or childcare setting is desirable
• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
