Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks a Para AUT-Moderate-Level II to support Special Education programs in Duncan Creek Elementary. The role assists in supervising and instructing students with disabilities across classrooms and community settings, and helps implement IEP goals.

The position requires PSC-certified paraprofessional credential, a high school diploma or GED with Parapro assessments, and PSC hours if needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Paraprofessional Educator certificate issued by the Georgia PSC
• High school diploma or GED with required Parapro assessments
• 60 sem/90 quarter hours from PSC-approved college if assessments not met

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and instructing special needs students in regular and special education settings
• Support IEP goals and monitor student behavior
• Administer routine health and welfare tasks per health guidance
• Record keeping and data collection for instructional planning
• Assist with crisis intervention and emergency responses
• Escort and supervise students during transitions and activities
