Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia PSC Paraprofessional certificate or higher, a HS diploma or GED, and demonstrates strong knowledge of child development and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and Parapro assessment or PSC alternative.
• PSC Paraprofessional certificate required.
• 60 semester or 90 quarter hours from PSC-approved college if no Parapro exam.
• Experience in licensed child care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional program for special needs students in various settings.
• Adapt activities and reinforce IEP goals under teacher guidance.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support learning.
• Assist with daily living tasks and student personal care needs.
• Attend IEP meetings and monitor student progress and behavior.
