Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA’s supervision. You will use evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role emphasizes patient, compassionate teamwork, with comprehensive training provided. The pay range is $20–$26 per hour, and the position requires a strong physical ability to assist

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Preemployment background check required.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• MD Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing behavior plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and monitor progress.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment and participate in training.
