Job summary

Centria Autism in Farmington Hills, MI, seeks a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. You will apply evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training, and you will join a dedicated team focused on making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and ensure safety during activities.
• Collaborate with a team and participate in ongoing training.
