Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a teacher working with students aged 5-21 who may display academic, behavioral, and social deficits. You will assist with lessons, maintain a positive classroom, and help implement IEPs and BIPs under supervision.

Location is Issaquah, WA, with Monday–Friday hours 8:00 AM–3:45 PM. Experience with autism, a related degree, and ATAS are advantageous. Training and team collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Prior TA experience required.
• ATAS a plus.
• Experience working with children on the autism spectrum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with lessons and behavior support.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom.
• Administer assessments and track progress.
• Collaborate with therapists and staff.
• Attend trainings and meetings.
