Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children who have autism, under the supervision of a BCBA. Training will be provided so you can help teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. The role includes physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate and team-oriented.
• 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills; reduce interfering behaviors.
• Use evidence-based techniques and track progress.
